Here's What's New!
New Geeky Jewelry
What do you do with those old keys that are lying in the bottom of your junk drawer? Got out-dated maps in your glove compartment? Or a mason jar of Grandma's old buttons in the garage? For some its just junk and its taking up space. For me, it is inspiration. I turn ordinary objects into something new, giving them a new purpose. I am always on the look out for raw materials. If you have something you think I could use, let's talk! Email me and maybe we can work out a trade. Seems like I have more ideas than I have time! So keep checking back often to what new products I have added.
Re-Usin' By Susan
I've always been a creative person. I come by it naturally. My mother was a ceramic artist and had a ceramic shop when I was growing up. I had a paintbrush in my hand before I could walk! My father had a gift for woodcarving and whittling. I started making jewelry just after high school. A few years later I began selling my creations at flea markets and the occasional craft show. Eventually I found my way to the Ybor City Saturday Market. I can be found there most Saturdays. At first I was doing wire wrapped jewelry and more traditional beaded pieces. About 5 years ago I saw a necklace a woman had made from all the credit cards she had paid off and an idea was born. What if I used recyclable items in my jewelry? I started with credit cards, can tabs, and then eventually guitar picks. Now nothing is off limits. I look at everything as a possibility. I often say that I have more ideas than I have time. So please take a few minutes to explore my site. I am often adding new items. I also do costume jewelry repairs, such as bead re-stringing, new clasps, and even redesigning an old piece into something completely different. Just email me with any questions, comments, or feedback. Thanks for stopping by! -Susan
